Weekend Plans!

Good Morning! 🙂

I was awoken by the pup this morning at 6:54 AM. This girl is like clockwork – same time, everyday. Gotta love her 🙂 We took our usual morning stroll – her with her messy sleepy fur and me in my underwear. It’s times like these I am thankful we live in a remote area.

Breakfast this morning included a new-to-me protein powder that I really enjoy! It is the Garden of Life RAW Meal – Chocolate Cacao flavor. Its protein content is derived from organic sprouted grains, seeds, and legumes. It has a fantastic taste and texture when blended into a smoothie.

This weekend Paul and I have plans to head to the West coast of Florida for some rest, relaxation, and kayak fishing! We recently bought two kayaks and have been loving using them on our lake. We are pumped to try them out in the Tampa Bay area and hopefully catch a few fish. We are also going to spend some time on the beach and scoping out fun restaurants. Mo will be coming along as well – she is such a fun traveler 🙂

I hope you guys have a great weekend doing something you love.

Morning Devotion: Psalm 74:3

“Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.”

This scripture is shedding light onto a scene from the Old Testament where His enemies had physically destroyed Gods temple. I often times struggle when reading the Old Testament because the stories can often seem irrelevant to life today. However I am reminded that all of scripture is written with the intent of leading us back to the heart of God. This scene of physical destruction is one that is comparable to the hearts and souls of people today. We are God’s creation, which has been bruised and hurt by trials in this life. It is by His mercy and grace that we can ask of Him this same verse and that He will come to us with open arms full of love.
